GDRR 523 - Land Use Planning and Management
Fundamental principles, laws and procedures involved in the environmental planning of towns and cities with emphasis on the use of concepts of sustainable development in providing solutions to environmental problems such as pollution, flooding, blighted areas and its rehabilitation; eradication of slums; zoning and subdivision control; concept and use of environmental impact assessment; prediction of impact in air, water and land environment, in the biological and socio-economic environments; methods of analysis of laws and regulations pertinent to the administration of environmental policies and programs. The subject integrates Geomatics in Diaster Risk Reduction as input to land use planning.

- CLO 1: Identify and evaluate the Laws and Policy on Land Use Planning
- CLO 2: Research, analyze and demonstrate a critical understanding of how the aspects of the Land Use Plan are being implemented.
- CLO 3: Evaluate the integration of Land Use within the comprehensive Planning Process.
