This graduate-level course explores research methods and statistical analysis applied within the field of geomatics, specifically for disaster risk reduction (DRR). Students will learn how to acquire, analyze, and interpret geospatial data using various tools and methodologies, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS). Emphasis is placed on methods relevant to natural hazard assessment, exposure and vulnerability mapping, risk analysis, and the development of evidence-based disaster mitigation strategies. Key activities include interactive learning, practical assignments, presentations, and a final project.
